| KPP in the UK |
| | The first two UK sites to pilot KPP were a community team in Inner City and the Assertive Outreach Team. (Click to learn more about their work)
| | The Bristol KPP pilot was presented to Professor Antony Sheehan, Director of Care Services at the Department of Health in Whitehall. He wrote to the Trust expressing his interest and made valuable suggestions for future development.
| | In 2005, KPP entered a further stage of development, with teams in two trusts looking at the needs of a census, rather than a sample, of their longer term service users.
| | These trusts were:
| | | Devon Partnership NHS Trust, who used KPP to look at the needs of all clients of the Exeter and East Devon Assertive Outreach Team - ( to learn about their work) |
| | | East Sussex County NHS Trust, who have since become part of the new Sussex Partnership Trust, used KPP in three locality community mental health teams - ( to learn about their work).
| | In May 2006 the third KPP UK seminar was held at the Nuffield Trust in London. Devon and East Sussex presented their work to other trusts interested in using KPP. A discussion followed about the lessons learnt. A report of the seminar, written up by an independent observer for the Nuffield Trust, is available as a 4 page .pdf file.
| | At the seminar, a booklet on KPP written by David King and Barry Walsh for the Nuffield Trust was formally published. It is available as a 28 page .pdf file.
| | At the present time Sussex, Devon and Plymouth are all considering the roll out and further use of KPP by their services - with the probability that use will be extended to areas such as forensic services and those for older people. Several other trust have expressed interest and discussions continue.
